Since January 2026, there has been a unique vendor boutique store a few miles East from the Dover Bridge on Dover Bridge Road, named after a phrase Crystal Wyatt’s grandfather would jokingly say to her grandmother after she’d buy a decoration or something he deemed had no practical us.
“Oh, you’ve brought home more sh!t you don’t need.” This little phrase her family found amusing stuck, and she tongue-in-cheek named her and her husband Cody’s Vendor/Antique/Crafting Boutique Store after this saying.
The store is located on busy Dover Bridge Road, nestled between Easton and Preston, in Caroline County. Once a floral shop, the building, with ample parking in the front, now houses their store, which showcases antiques, vintage items, handmade goods, and resell items, featuring 30 vendor booths with many unique and interesting items. “We are big thrifters, and we kept driving past this space that was empty, and thought, let’s open up a unique boutique market here, so we did it!” Crystal shares, smiling at the memory. Given the unique name of their establishment, she said many tourists and interested parties take their picture in front of the business’s sign for selfies and social media posts, or to joke and send to friends.
The store is laid out as an antique or resell small mall of sorts, with separate booths and displays for each vendor to showcase their wares. Cody Wyatt said he often gets positive comments from customers. “People often tell us that the prices are reasonable, and that the store is clean and very organized.” The items are clearly marked, and the store is decorated in an appealing, upscale manner with jewelry, antiques, handmade goods, seasonal ware and a bit of something for everyone. As fall rolls onto the calendar, on the day of my visit, pumpkins and fall décor were starting to grace the shelves in some booths. Their business cards states,
“Curated, Crafted, Consigned, Old, New, Crafty, Country…A Little Bit of Everything, Handpicked Just for You!”
Along with handmade goods, incredible crochet and knitted items, candles, and newer items, there are, of course, antiques tucked into the mix. Some interesting items observed today were antique vintage cookie jars, Murano glass sculptures, clocks, vintage jewelry, unique older books, neat and unique antique furniture pieces, and a printer’s wooden drawer with tiny compartments, which went home with me. Unique vintage jewelry is displayed in clean, organized cases, and everything has easy access for consideration.
The Wyatts mentioned that on Friday, October 16th, from 5-8pm, they are hosting “Witch’s Night Out: Booze, Brews and Boutique Shopping.” There will be Halloween candy, a gift card prize for best costume, vendors specials that evening, a “brew” drink station, and a ghost figurine hide and seek game, with the finder/winner getting a prize.
Sh!t You Don’t Need, “Because Boring Stores Are Overrated” is open Tuesday-Friday from 10am-6pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, and closed Sundays and Mondays. They are located at 21804 Dover Bridge Rd. Their phone number for the store is (302) 258-9664. For more information, stop in, or visit their Facebook page.
